From the name Uthiliran, the first king of Moshuria, who's mother was Khaurnán, sole daughter of Aokhum, the god of creation. The actual word probably comes from Proto-Yeldhic *h₂wléqs, meaning "lake". Other related words include Ilda hulesw, meaning "container of liquid", which is from Proto-Ilda-Maranösic *hulís.
