From Proto-Valtamic *-o, *-u, from a merger of Proto-Italic *-āō, *-ēō, and *-eō. Cognate with Latin -ō, -āre and -eō, -ēre.

(Standard Valtamic) IPA: /-o/, (low-harmony) /-ɔ/; [ˌ-ɔ], (low-harmony) [ˌ-ɔ̞]

-o (high-harmony -ou, middle-harmony -o, low-harmony -o)

used to derive verbs
namän ("name") + -o → namo ("to call, name")

fytryr ("part") + -o → fëtro ("to share, split")
used to form the infinitive and gerund forms of verbs
