Sfətsiv (pronunciation: /sfətsiv/) is a particular vernacular lect of Adutsib. It is a spoken language of the modern Adutsib people while Ancient Adutsib is still used liturgically.
Ideas
Have lots of allophony rules like Korean?
Diachronical sketch
- i u ə a il ul əl al > at first i ü ə a ẽ ũ õ ã > then i ü ə a e(n) u(n) o(n) a(n) (kill nasalization before fricatives and word-finally)
- sb sd > zv zd
- sxʷ > sf
- How do I get /m n/?
- /ʔb ʔd/ > /m n/
- dzəpəč šə ʔusaqʷ ʔəsəqʷəb tuǰəltxʷ = the living fish swims in water
- Zəpətj sjə ʔusam ʔəsoməv tüdjontf
- σüches = mother; toches = father
- tüdjo = water
- mic = house
- Some clusters are broken up to impose sonority hierarchy
- I could go with a pseudo-Medh Nghêl aesthetic
Test on Lushootseed words
- sduhubš > zduhufsj (> zduhuusj?)
- dxʷləbi > dəfləvi (> dəfləvi?)
- skʷ'uy > scüy (> scüü?)
- dxʷləšucid > dəfləsjutsidh (> dəfləsjutsii?)
- ʔal ti sləx̌il > ʔå ti sləche
