From Old Cleepoyish dœœr, dœgr, dœœgœr, borrowed from Old Norse dǿgr. Displaced native Old Cleepoyish dꜵg (surviving only in įþäidöi), from Proto-Lesionic *dag, from Proto-Germanic *dagaz.
