Valtamic
Etymology
From Proto-Valtamic *pä, from Proto-Italic *-kʷe. Cognate with Latin -que.
Pronunciation
- (Standard Valtamic) IPA: /pæ/; [pæ], [ˌpɛ‿]
Conjunction
pä
- and; connects two or more elements
Usage notes
Pä is not to be confused with äc. Whereas pä connects two items or ideas within a clause, äc connects whole clauses to each other:
- Fëcel pä märäġ avämär restorënteṅ, äc ṡëmëcemer traṡ.
- My father and I went to a restaurant, and we ate a lot.
