Notes
- Tíogall is a VSO language that allows topicalization. Morphosyntax is ergative in the preterite tense, and accusative in other tenses. For more details, see the Tíogall page.
- The formal way of forming the possessive "X of Y" is X-CONST Y, but the construction an X le Y is also valid and is more common in informal speech.
- To turn adjectives into adverbs, it is normally required to use go + [ADJECTIVE], but poems may omit the go.
- -na or -ne is normally an emphatic clitic; it can be added in poetry for metrical reasons.
- The following pairs of vowels are considered to be the same for the purposes of rhyming: /ɪ iː ɛ eː/ = /ʏ yː œ øː/
