Middle Annerish
Etymology
Ultimately from Proto-Germanic *fimf. The expected indeclinable form (*[f]ũıḃ) was replaced by a second declension noun p(h)ımp, ṗımb, influenced by Brythonic; extended into the fifth declension from the dental plural. Lemmatized with f- in the second edition of the Bésgnae Béırle; cf.: Old Norse cognate fimm.
