Introduction

Kundarayo (Natively: 쿤다라요 [kʰundarajo]) is a Japonic language spoken around the Northers parts of Korea and China

  • When not intervocalicly, /b d g/ become [p t k]
  • When at the end of a syllable, /b d s g r/ become [p̚ t̚ t̚ k̚ l]
  • The phonemes /th d s n h/ display palatalization, becoming [tɕh ʥ~tɕ ɕ ɲ ç]
  • ŋ* and h~ç~ɸ* only occur in Chinese loans in Standard Kundara
  • The cluster /hw/ is normally said as [ɸ]
