Contionary:waksen

Skundavisk

Etymology

From Middle Skundavisk vaksen, from Old Skundavisk vahsan, from Halmisk ᚹᚨᚻᛊᚨᚾ (wahsan), ᚹᚨᚻᛊᛃᚨᚾ (wahsjan), from Proto-Germanic *wahsjaną. The /j/ of wahsjan fell early in Halmisk by analogy with other class 6 strong verbs, hence the absence of i-umlaut.
