Her father is the mathematician Avnín Ahalis, who was chair of mathematics in the University of Flian who composed in his spare time. Her mother, Fyvað Sgutsitn (adapted from Adutsib ''xwəbad skwucił''), is a classical ''ŋams'' player and music teacher. Her mother's brother, Mugiv Ytxuðe, is a ''sewvore'' player.
