Word-choosing Rule

  1. Borrow the word from languages all the world instead of only Indo-European, such as "san" means 3 and is from Chinese.
  2. Borrow the word from English(especially slangs) and Latin, such as "lipida" or "tivi".
  3. Borrow from Toki Pona.
  4. Create a new word, such as "gratlovo".

Syllable construction

  • Each syllable follows this format: (C)(C)V(N)(C). That is,
    • Each syllable must have at least a vowel.
    • Each syllable mustn't have more than two preceeding consonant. That is, "str" or "skr" are prohibited, although it is very common.
    • Each syllable should have one(recommended) or no succeeding consonant.
  • Words can have 1 ~ 5 vowel.

Pronoun of Person

Lingua Simpla has three persons: the first person refers to the speaker, the second person refers to the observer, and the third person refers to everyone except "you" and "me". The third person is divided into masculine, feminine, neuter (limited to the plural), and non-human (e.g., a gunship).

Colour

Lingua Simpla only has six basic colors: black(Dudu), red(Rosse), white(Walo), blue(Laso), yellow(Kitrino) and green(Midori), and other colors can be blended with them, for example, cream is equal to white and yellow. At the same time, the color at the end indicates a higher proportion of colors. It is also orange, and the combination of "Roskitrino" means that it should be orange-yellow, while "Kitrirosse" is orange-red. But there is an exception, where "Dudwalo" is simply grey, but "Dudurewalo" is dim grey and "Walududu" is pale grey.

Sexuality

Except for pronouns, Lingua Simpla is sexuality-insensitive, but there, is, actually, words, for, sexuality. Masculine is "Ork" and feminine is "Arf". To state out the sexuality of something(especially somebody), add "-arf" ("-narf" if end by vowel) or "-ork" ("-sork" if end by vowel).
