A priori language ([tiŋkatkiramai] 'mother language') is a language inspired aesthetically by Finnish and Tamil. It is spoken by a tribe of dwarves in the Tolkienian fantasy world of Rotunu.

  • Absolutive: -0
  • Genitive: -ku (after C); -cku (after V); a noun ending in -ch is changed to -cku
  • Ergative/Instrumental: -er
  • Dative: -ahl
  • Locative: -adu

Verbs

The verbal noun ends in -ei and is the citation form. For example, iramei means "speaking" or "to speak"; karwaḷei means "worshipping" or "to worship".
