Note to self: Adopt words from The Dictionary Of Obscure Sorrows

Phonology

  • Stem: (C)(C)V... | Merdo; Numa
  • Noun: -V, -VF; -Vr, -VFr | Merdos, Merdosr; Numa, Numar
  • Verb: -n | Merdon; Numan
  • Adj, Adv: -S; -Sr | Merdot, Merdotr; Numap, Numapr

Morphology

  • Play around with causatives for verbs
  • Try to work out an interesting TAM system
  • Allow word derivation in a similar fashion to english, smashing words together.

Alphabet

Numa uses some sort of script evolved from a runic alphabet.

Main

This language is being built with the purpose of being a naming proto-language in the reddit collaborative project of Conglomera. It's (very) loosely inspired by what I believe Nordic and Slavic phonologies are like (no actual grounds for that) and is meant to be a very versatile language with many derivational possibilities for words.
