Re: voicing distinction
- If Egyption voiced stops were actually ejectives that would explain the apparent mix-up?
- I have heard that Semitic was the branch that regularized its root system to mainly triliterals and some quadriliterals (Evidence: Semitic has families of semantically related triliteral roots sharing two consonants, and also hollow roots with a semivowel in the middle.) In general there seems to be little agreement on PAA beyond the basics of morphology. Hopefully I'm just not that well-read on it.
