===Tunings===
Various inharmonic tunings. Many of them use a stretched octave or a different interval altogether (such as ~3/1 or ~3/2) as their interval of equivalence. Among the variety of tunings used are quasi-equal pentatonic, heptatonic and nonatonic scales, familiar to Earthlings from Indonesian and Thai music. The exact tuning is not considered as important as how different instruments can blend together and factors such as rhythm, structure, symbolism and texture; in fact, some shimmering beating is considered desirable.
