===Fnüeng Dynasty music===
Later imperial courtly music incorporated more folk music elements. Many choral, chamber and orchestral works from this period are considered part of the canon. The aesthetic was quiet and calm, somewhat like Renaissance music. More general "cross-sets" were invented (Partchian tonality diamonds are an example of cross-sets).
Thanks to the invention of the printing press, many works of music survive from the late Fnüeng dynasty period.
