-In Shalaian, glottal reinforcement (GR) is used both lexically and grammatically. Glottal reinforcement operates at a syllable level and affects the coda consonant(s) of that syllable as follows: When a syllable has GR, a glottal stop is used after the last vowel or resonant of the syllable. Almost any possible syllable can undergo glottal reinforcement.
