From Middle Skundavisk belīuen, from Old Skundavisk bilīuan, bilīban, from Halmisk bilīban, from Proto-Germanic *bilībaną. The original root verb *lībaną gave Middle Skundavisk līuen, but didn't survive in Modern Skundavisk.
