The R-Aestrian language (R from Romance, Aestrian is a fictional name) is an a-posteriori language and also an artlang based on Spanish, Portuguese, Occitan-Catalan,French and Italian. It was supposed to be an auxlang, but the creator decided to change it's purpose because of it's lexical and grammar.

R-Aestrian vowels are not distinguished by lenghtness, but by sound. Long vowels are the normal vowels in words, like the A in Aèstrian, and short vowels are vowels that take a grave accent like è, ì, ò, ù, there is no short for /a/.
