Hederdau is one of the most conservative lects of Wiebian. Perhaps somewhat unexpectedly, it is meant to parody Danish.

Phonology

Hederdau has three levels of stød:

  • no stød: wans /vɛn/ 'stick'
  • weak stød: Wande /vɛ̰n/ 'body'
  • strong stød: wann /vɛnʔ/ 'bake'
