• After decades of political and economic turmoil, the Alliance becomes a fully social democratic (eventually democratic socialist?) country. (**)
• There is a global treaty to halt AI capabilities research and similar research (e.g. synthetic pathogens, mirror life, virulent hyperinfectious memes) that may endanger humanity. (***)
• A combination of good industrial policy and foreign aid enables:
  • Aqqaüqüququq pioneers applied memetics. It becomes a major field of study in the developed world (and resists subversion by capitalism), leading first to a ban on addictive social media (**)
  • Clean electricity eventually becomes too cheap to meter (*)
  • Aqqaüqüququq invents and scales up efficient carbon dioxide removal. The world successfully deploys CDR in addition to achieving net zero emissions, bringing temperatures back down to <1.5°C in 80 years after 1.5°C is first reached. Eco-fascism loses power. (**)
