From Middle Eburonian mahhen, mahhn, maccen, macn, from Old Eburonian makon, from Proto-West Germanic *makōn. Cognate with German machen, Dutch machen, English make.

machen (weak, third-person singular present macheth, past tense machte, past participle gemacht, auxiliary haven)
