Skylandic

From Old Skylandic uit, from Proto-Germanic *unhtwo “last part of the night”. The h- was added to avoid confusion with vite when Blackletter writing and/or printing was a trend. Cognate with Old English ūhta and German Uchte.
Alternate form
- Uite
Pronunciation
- IPA: /ɥit/ [ɥit ~ ɥɪt]
Noun
Huite (plural Huites, genitive Huitise, ergative plural Huitie)
- 1. pre-dawn anxiety. The dread or anxiety that one feels after lying on bed and before sleeping.
