==Origins and name==
The name ''Pfeunic'' originates from the Pfeune River in western Schrubstiempf. The hydronym is of Unfinnish origin: Unfinnish {{recon|''pyyni''}} > Proto-Wiebian {{recon|''pfûni''}} > Wiebian ''Pfeune''. It is hypothesized to have been spoken 4000 HM years BP, roughly at the same time as Proto-Tie. [[Azzanic languages|Azzanic]] speakers had not arrived in the area yet.
