Technoquintlan is a far-future version of Terra and Tricin where travel through wormholes or portals between the two planets is possible.

Population: approximately 17.4 billion (fT 2700)

Locations of portals

This follows the system of the European Union's portal database (country to country). A portal is defined as an opening which one cannot pass through from the other side thereof. In addition, Both sides must not consist of ocean.

An overly abridged history

Around the mid 20th century, records of wormholes to a different world were known on Earth, appearing around Sweden-Norway, Qing China, and the United States of America.

In the early 21st century, the first known writings about the Other World (German: Anderewelt) were being written, including the first Clofabosin (German: Klofabosprache) to German dictionary.

By 2050 AD, there was an economic collapse on Earth and Tricin, abandoning the Internet. This sparked mass migration by Trician immigrants to Earth, and vice versa.

The late 21st century (and the late 24th hundredyear on Tricin) saw a development of green/sustainable technology on both Terra and Tricin, allowing the colonization of other planets, such as Mars and Olatin. Fricadin was the last terrestrial planet to be colonized.

By the early 23rd century, there were permanent residents on other non-Earth non-Trician planets, which was because of a recently developed method to make hypergiant arcologies.

The present day, which we take to be about fT 2700 (or about 2450 AD) still has a slim majority of humans living on Earth and Tricin, but there are still sprawling metropoli on other planets as well. Technoquintlan is a placeholder name for the entire system, and as of now there has been no Interplanetary Union.

Broad demographics

Terra and Tricin are the only planets with a good mix of both Terrans and Tricians. Other planets or satellites in the Solar System have the vast majority of inhabitants being ethnically Terran, and similarly for the other planets or satellites in the Grian System having the vast majority of inhabitants being ethnically Trician.

Languages

Academic languages

The academic languages of Technoquintlan are Akademiesprache and Wug Nlab. They are the lingua francas of the academic communities:

• Akademiesprache is spoken by applied mathematicians, chemists, and biologists
• Wug Nlab is spoken by pure mathematicians, physicists, musicians, and astronomers

Akademiesprache is a Germanic language with Hellenic grammar and morphophonology, and Wug Nlab is a highly engineered descendant of Schlaub.

Colloquial languages

Most people in Technoquintlan have access to neural chips. As such, they are surgically inserted into the brain when very young, probably when a person is two or three years old. Each linguistic neural chip consists of a dictionary of the language and a grammar guide. The majority of such grammar guides are written in Anglo-Clofabosin though a large portion of the remaining are written in Mandarin. Therefore many people are often trilingual, tetralingual, or even pentalingual.
