Hyperborean (HB:Tinaqqa Teljun) is a polysynthetic, fluid-S split intransitive language with VSOX word order that is the majority language of Hyperborea (HB: Telku) and has approximately 33 million speakers. Hyperborea is the second largest of the British Isles and lies west of Scotland and northwest of Ireland. The island acquired the name in late Antiquity as the location of the mythical Hyperborea moved towards the limits of the known world. The toponym stuck. In our world, Hyperborea is the submerged Rockall Basin.
