Etymology
From Medieval Greek οὐρανός, from Ancient Greek οὐρανός, possibly from earlier *ϝορσανός or Proto-Indo-European *h₁wer-. Folk etymology analyzes it to "juro (I see)" + "ano (Upwards)", similar to Aristotle's theory.
