Kirtumur
Etymology
From Proto-Kydan *ķāl (“name”). Cognate with Kērsalur kāl, Cirdamur cāl, Old Sērsal sɛ̄l. Possible cognates outside of Kyrdan include Kliru mkału, Proto-Settameric *akł- “to call”, but both show /ɬ/ in the root instead of /l/ as in Proto-Kyrdan. Early Proto-Kyrdan form can be reconstructed as *ķař(ə)n-, possibly reflected as two separate syllabic symbols in early Namķaudir PLURĶAŘ-nWHOLE “calling them”, although the precise pronunciation of those symbols is unknown.
