Skylandic
Etymology
From Proto-Germanic *falþaną "to fold". Cognate with English fold, Dutch vouwen and German falten. The semantic shift from “fold” to “depart” came about from the Skylandic culture of adventuring. Departing from a location became associated with folding one's tents. Similar to how Latin plicare "to fold" became Romanian pleca "to leave, depart".
Pronunciation
Noun
faudre (type 2 -re, present faunent, imperfect faunirent, present participle faudant, past participle faudu)
