Pronunciation

Affix (Suffix, adverbial)

-mo

  1. way, manner, fashion
A correlative suffix indicating the way or manner. See kwamo. This may also be used to form an adverb from another part of speech that is not otherwise able to change a final ending to -i, notably adjectives ending in -nya ‘less’ as well as other parts of speech. Note that, when used outside of the context of correlatives, -mo must be hyphenated. In Vulgar European this becomes a much more common way to form adverbs, analogous to the -ment suffix (and equivalents) in many Romance languages or -ly in English.
