I speak only two natural languages, German and French. I began learning German in High School because of my interest in the German language and culture. In addition to cultural aspects, I have ancestors who immigrated from (German-speaking) Switzerland. French is another language I have learned in High School. When my family moved to Portland, OR, the new school I transferred to did not have German :(. Instead of letting my distraught weigh me down, I decided to pour my vigor and love of languages into French, the language of love (and food :d). I greatly enjoyed my new school and my new foreign language. I am a bibliophile - one who loves books. I am also an amateur linguist, dabbling in morphology, etymology, and syntax. I developed my love of languages and linguistics about a year ago, and learned a great deal since then about it. Being a bibliophilie and internet addict helps :) I also enjoy conlanging - constructing languages.
