Af Mexee: Difference between revisions

Af Mexee is tonal. It has two tones: low and high. These are not normally indicated in writing, although this article mostly does. A high tone is indicated with an acute accent, while a circumflex denotes a vowel that has a high tone if the following word does not (if it's on a double vowel, the high tone shifts to the end).

e.g. ''wâa'' = ''wáa'' (before a word without a high tone) OR ''waá'' (before a word with a high tone)
