Etymology

From Old Grekelin δώξε, a merger of δώσε (Southern variant) and δώκε (Danubian variant), all originating from Ancient Greek δίδωμι. Related to Albanian dhashë and Finnish tuoda (And, by extension, possibly Hungarian tojik, which was borrowed in Grekelin as tojika).
