From Proto-Lucine *su-, Cognate to Proto-Indo-European *só. Sometimes compared to Proto-Uralic *sän (he, she, it) and *tä (that), Proto-Yukaghir *tuẟe (he, she, it), Proto-Turkic *tẹ (that), Proto-Mongolic *te (that), and Proto-Tungusic *tari (that).
