Skundavisk
Etymology
From Middle Skundavisk -ig, from Old Skundavisk -iga, -ga, from Halmisk -ga, -gaŕ, from Proto-Germanic *-gaz. In Proto-Germanic and Halmisk, forms in -ag-, -ig- and -ug- existed depending on the final vowel of the root. However, the -ig- form superseded the others during the Old Skundavisk phase, often causing umlaut of the root vowel.
