In the Knašta language, there is much elision between words that end and start in vowels. This page details elision rules in Knašta.

When precedes a word that begins with a vowel, it becomes ň' [ɲ].

Ní al ŗobatsí (Not a problem) → Ň'al ŗobatsí [ɲal probat͡s]

Ní oTsyna (Not in China) → Ň'oTsyna [ɲot͡saɪna]

Ní ameskakatsí vošní (I don't love you) → Ň'ameskakatsí vošní [ɲamɛsːkat͡s vɑʃne̞]

Kwo (What)

When kwo precedes a word that begins with a vowel, it becomes kw' [kw].

When kwo precedes ǰis (it is) or ǰiskalí (they are), it becomes kw'is [kwɪs] or kw'iskalí [kwɪskali], respectively.

Examples

Kwo arívítka-link (What's happening) → Kw'arívítka-link [kwarivit̚kəlɪŋk]

Kwo onas lot (What about it) → Kw'onas lot [kwonas lot]
