Etymology

From Proto-Lahob *pāmwəj (three). Cognates include Łohofál feng, Yełeshian Lawo kpem̃, Shershan Lawo kpam̃, Łaȟoḇaror päng. Ultimately from the same root as pamuvis "finger".
