Extemplar Latin is a form of Post-Classical Latin spoken in parts of Northern Italy between 400ᴀᴅ and 800ᴀᴅ, probably an early dialect of Proto-Romance. It is the direct ancestor of Bad Romance, which later gave rise to Gothic Romance. More coming soon…
