Morphology
Balangbalang uses the suffixed definite article -ku.
The genitive case ending is -o, which sometimes triggers syncope of the preceding vowel.
There is also a comparative case, -eš, and a vocative case, -a.
- Esperanto is harder than Balangbalang: Ơt kalku Esperanto tưtko hir Balaŋbalaŋkeš. (COPULA language Esperanto-GEN difficult.NOUN-GEN more Balangbalang-COMP)
Pronouns in Balangbalang are clitics. Emphatic pronouns are formed by attaching these clitics to the copula (which changes depending on tense). Thus Balangbalang can be said to mark tense on pronouns.
