Tluh-buhd-tahch (ƛəbədt̓ač) is an Indo-European language spoken in Lõis' Romania and Ukraine. It's inspired by Lushootseed and Romanian.

Phonology

The phonology is almost that of Lushootseed. There are two liquids, /ɹ/ and /l/; and that there's no phonemic contrast between rounded velar /kʷ, kʷ’/ and rounded uvular /qʷ, qʷ’/. The phoneme /xʷ/ is often pronounced [ɸ] while /χʷ/ is pronounced like the English [ʍ] with more friction.

In addition, the sounds /ts/, /ts’/, /dz/ and /tɬ’/ are not present in Tluh-buhd-tahch, but /tɬ/ is.

Alphabet

Tluh-buhd-tahch uses many obsolete Latin letters.

  • Ejectives /p’/, /t’/, /tʃ’/, /k’/, /q’/ and /kʷ’/ are written with the symbols ꝓ, ⱦ, ȼ, ꝃ, ꝅ, and ꝙ respectively.
  • The stops /tʃ/, /tɬ/, /q/ and /kʷ/ are written c, ꝭ, ꝁ and q respectively.
  • /dʒ/ and /gʷ/ are written ꝿ and ǥ respectively, and /j/ is written j.
  • The fricatives /χ/ and /χʷ/ are written x and ӿ respectively.
  • Schwa /ə/ is written e.
