Modern Adetsib (Adhətsiv, pronunciation: /aðətsiv/) is a particular vernacular lect of Adetsib. It is a spoken language of the modern Adetsib people while Ancient Adetsib is still used liturgically.
Ideas
Have lots of allophony rules like Korean?
Diachronical sketch
- i u ə a il ul əl al > at first i ü ə a ẽ ũ õ ã > then i ü ə a e(n) u(n) o(n) a(n) (kill nasalization before fricatives and word-finally)
- sb sd > zv zd
- sxʷ > sf
- How do I get /m n/?
- /ʔb ʔd/ > /m n/
Phonology
In general the phonology looks more modern Talman now. "Unusual" features include lateral obstruents, labialized velars, and the fact that it has only one 'liquid' - /ɴ̆/.
