Takkenkikle has a free word order, meaning the position of different words is not strict and can not change grammatical function of a word. Short sentences usually follow an SOV word order. Intransitive clauses have SV order as the basic one. Thus the language can be described as head-final - the head of the clause comes at the end of it.
