=== Prefect Baraz min Annu Berating Sorvin ===
Baraz min Annu was the prefect of Sakkeb Prefecture during the late 19th century.  The Dog Speaker prefect became the unwilling mediator between Sorvin and Éro in their land feud.  Baraz, although wanting nothing to do with the two [[Vadi#Introduction| Vadi]] litigants, felt he had no choice as the escalating tensions between the two had resulted in arson.  The fire spread to the outskirts of Reštem Township before being put out by a fortuitous rainstorm.

=== Ikkūne Mikayayya min Nattaxxawan's Response to Sorvin ===
Ikkūne Nattaxxawan, the supreme leader of Salmon Speaker Country, was on his way to Prefect Annu's office to discuss the events of the Hara Incident.  He and his entourage had to take a detour from the main road, which had been washed out by a typhoon.  They encountered Sorvin, as the path from his farm intersected the narrow road Nattaxxawan's party had taken.  Nattaxxawan had never seen Sorvin before, but Sorvin knew who Nattaxxawan was and intercepted him.  Sorvin  assailed the Ikkūne with numerous pleas to get rid of his nemesis Éro, whom he declared a vicious road "bandit".  Nattaxxawan ignored Sorvin and proceeded to Biktāt, the prefectural capital.
Waiting for Nattaxxawan was a pile of letters from Sorvin begging him to "speak a kind word" to Prefect Annu of Éro's criminality.  Nattaxxawan was both annoyed and amused, and later, while having dinner with Annu, spoke of Sorvin's tenaciousness.  Again, recorded by Annu's nephew Taššir, more material regarding the Vadi lawsuit has been preserved in Minhast history, less for its impact on pre-Unification Minhay than for its satirical value.
This jest by Nattaxxawan is among the more memorable:

| translation = I see you have a problem of lawlessness in some of your less travelled roads.  A man, apparently suffering from a rabid dog bite, ambushed my party.  Some of us nearly shot him full of arrows, and others nearly ran him through with their šuhapna.  But we held fast and listened to this yapping fool tell us to do something about a dangerous bandit named Eró lurking just beyond the crossing at the brook.  I imagine he wanted me to have him put to death.  We ignored him, as we were very hungry and were already impatient with this delay.
Strange then it is when after we arrived here safely at Biktāt, I find a pile of letters waiting for me.  Letters from a man named Sorvin pleading me to "put in a kind word to Prefect Annu" to have Eró "disposed of", and that the lands that Eró had stolen be returned back to him.  Apparently this citizen of Dog Speaker Country thinks that the authority of one of his Prefect can be overriden by the word of a foreign Ikkūne.
