  • Tíogall is a VSO language that allows topicalization. Morphosyntax is ergative in the preterite tense, and accusative in other tenses. For more details, see the Tíogall page.
  • The formal way of forming the possessive "X of Y" is X-CONST Y, but the construction an X le Y is also valid and is more common in informal speech.
  • To turn adjectives into adverbs, it is normally required to use go + [ADJECTIVE], but poems may omit the go.
  • -na or -ne is normally an emphatic clitic; it can be added in poetry for metrical reasons.
