Sanskrit in Lõis, unlike modern Indic languages, is typically written with the Latin alphabet.

Vowels

a á i í u ú r ŕ l ai ái au áu

Consonants

p ṗ b ḃ m t ṫ d ḋ n żt żṫ żd żḋ ṙn ç ç̇ j j̈ ņ c ċ g ġ y r l v ş ṙs s h

/ʂʈ/ is written ṙst or şt depending on etymology. Older texts (like the Vedas) use a deeper orthography for Sanskrit, including j̈ for /h/, and vowel letters <e> and <o> instead of <a>. Popular Lõisian English transcriptions like <Jimoleyos> for the Himālayas reflect this more ancient Sanskrit orthography.

Anusvāra and visarga are written ṁ and ṡ.
