Äiniqkelë Kaujë Puhaa (English: Common Elegant Language), referred to in English as Matsu, is the primary national language of the Matsu Union, set in a fictional alternate Earth.
History
On First Earth, a wormhole was located in subterranean Udine, Italy during an archaelogical excavation that had started 14 May 2031. This date is now better known as New Year's Day, 0 Other Earth.
Begun in resolute secrecy as to prevent international focus on access to a second world of natural resources, a small group of scientists begun exploring the world they were in, finding themselves based on the position of stars in the night sky to be in a parallel Earth in the year corresponding to 80 CE. The body of the European Union, eager to prevent other world powers from seizing control over this wormhole, and seeing opportunity in creating an escape space for its citizens from a warming Earth, began throwing resources into colonising Other Earth. An advisory body was tasked with creating a new international language for the colony, the result being Matsu.
