Demonstrative pronouns can be used by themselves or as determiners. There are different forms for singular, plural and three levels of distance. When working as determiners, they are declined with postfixes to indicate the case, where -k is for objective and -r for possessive, or gender of (often) definite nouns by adding -y for masculine and -i for feminine.
