Ancient Galern refers to the native speakers of Aethêllan who called themselves Galern, or People of the Stars. The language is known as Ancient Galern due to it only being kept in use by a minority of the upper classes of modern day Anmarla society for uses in record keeping, and sacred state and religious ceremonial occasions.
