  • In Sonja Lang's book Toki Pona: The Language of Good (2014), kin is presented as a synonym of tok ("a") → [[Contionary:{{{3}}}|{{{3}}}]] ("{{{4}}}"), alongside tok ("namako") → [[Contionary:{{{3}}}|{{{3}}}]] ("{{{4}}}") (for tok ("sin") → [[Contionary:{{{3}}}|{{{3}}}]] ("{{{4}}}")) and tok ("oko") → [[Contionary:{{{3}}}|{{{3}}}]] ("{{{4}}}") (for tok ("lukin") → [[Contionary:{{{3}}}|{{{3}}}]] ("{{{4}}}")). The book Toki Pona Dictionary (2021) notes that the community uses these words differently both before as well as after the publication of Toki Pona: The Language of Good.
