Etymology
From Old Tefrian dm (/tom/), from Proto-Tephricheic *to-, from Proto-Asisic *to-. Cognate with West Achissari تں (tõ), East Achissari تو (to), Vancian dem, Bulusic dön, Nyongom дэм (dëm), Dovasene тоҙ (toɀ), and Khbirye თაჲ (taj), also further related to descendants of Proto-Indo-European *dwóh₁, such as English two, French deux, Irish dhá, Greek δύο (dýo), Russian два (dva), and Armenian երկու (erku), and may extremely disputedly be related to descendants of Proto-Northwest Caucasian *dɢʷə, such as Abaza гӏвба (ʻʷba), Abkhaz ҩба (jʷba), and Ubykh ṭq̇ʷa.
